Exhibition Summary
una mostra del cazzo brings together Franko B and LYU BINGHE at
STUDIODIECI VC, Vercelli — a non-profit contemporary art space committed to
supporting young artists. Running from 18 April to 31 May 2026 and curated
by Diego Pasqualin, the exhibition takes its title from everyday Italian
speech and confronts the emblem of masculinity through sculpture, installation,
and performance documentation.
The works decontextualise the phallus as both a collective symbol and a site
of division — probing virility, desire, vulnerability, and the gap between
public propriety and private longing. Franko B’s dramatic awareness meets LYU
BINGHE’s irreverent boldness in a presentation that tests comfort, shame, and
collective consciousness. Each piece is described by the curator as an erection
aimed at the heart: stirring unspoken wishes, totems and taboos intertwined,
members stripped of their bodies so they might belong to everyone and no one.
At the threshold of its fifty-five years of inquiry into the contemporary,
StudioDieci remains free and accessible — consistent with its mission to
promote emerging art. The exhibition stages vulnerability and hypocrisy: the
solitude that frightens us most, and the courage required to engage with what
we would rather not see. Free admission. Opening Saturday 18 April at 17:00,
Piazzetta Pugliese Levi 10, Vercelli.
